March 1st is Hooray for Diffendoofer Day!
This book was started by Seuss and finished by Jack Prelutsky and Lane Smith. “Hooray for Diffendoofer Day!“ is a joyous ode to individuality. The story stars an unsinkable teacher named Miss Bonkers and quirky little Diffendoofer School, which must prove it has taught its students how to think. Thursday, March 1 at 7:00 pm the faculty will act out this play in much the same way as the students acted out “The Christmas Carol” in December!  Cost is $5 per person or $10 per family. Come share the laughter and see the teachers in staff in a whole new light!

Soles4Souls Service Project February 12, 2012 to February 27
Thank you to all our families and parishioners who have donated shoes this past week! Over the next two weeks, St. Louis will continue to collect shoes for the Soles 4 Souls program.  Over 300 million children around the world are without shoes.  Soles 4 Souls has delivered over 15 million pairs of shoes through its five year history, currently delivering a pair every seven seconds.  St. Louis school and parish have decided to help this program by donating shoes.  Soles4Souls will take any type of shoe in any condition – soccer cleats, golf shoes, high heels, flats, you name it, and they will take it!  They will even take a solo shoe.  So if any of you have a shoe that has been missing its pair, send it to school!  Lightly used shoes are distributed as they are received.  Shoes that are more worn are sent to Haiti, Honduras, or Tanzania, where the shoes are distributed to families who refurbish the shoes, thus creating a micro-enterprise.  If they are even more worn, they are sent elsewhere and the shoes are disassembled and made into other products.  Nothing of use is discarded!  There will be a collection box on each floor of the building as well as one in the church.  Please help us with this program.  You can donate your shoes any time this week or next weekend at mass in the collection bin at the rear of the church.  Please remember to donate to the Soles 4 Souls program this week - it is such an easy way to help those in need around the world!
