Home & School Organization

Our Home & School Organization consists of the Pastor, Principal, Faculty, and all parents and guardians of St. Louis Catholic School students. The purpose of the organization is to enhance a spirit of Christian community, encourage involvement by parents in school through fund-raising projects and social activities, and expand the opportunities and enhance the educational experience of the students by providing funds for school programs, activities and capital improvements.

Meetings are normally held on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend.

August 6, 2008

At the first meeting on August 6, we had reports from most of the committee captains.  This year’s Jamboree will be held Sunday, October 26. If you haven’t already signed up to work a shift, please contact the school office.

The 2008 Golf Tournament was held at Arrowhead Golf Club on June 6, 2008.  The event was a huge success and raised $6027.87. Congratulations to John and Marisa Grosso and Bob and Diane Eto for doing an outstanding job organizing this event. Mark your calendars now for the 2009 Golf tournament which will be held June 5, location to be determined.

September 3, 2008

Home & School had a great turnout for the September 3 meeting.  We had reports from many committee captains including updates for the Jamboree.  A decision was made to have the Book Fair on Tuesday, November 18 at Barnes and Noble.  We also voted to change the H&S By-Laws to have up to $5000 carryover funds instead of the $2500.  This is so we have enough start-up money at the beginning of the school year and hopefully will no longer ask for the $40 family donation.  Our September drawing winners were Erika Bokol, Courtney Medaris, & Danae Policky.  Please join us at our next meeting on October 1 at 6:30pm where the theme will be “Oktoberfest”.

9-3-08 Meeting Minutes

October 1, 2008

We heard several reports from committee captains including news that the library is up and running with 2 volunteers daily.  Christmas Wreath Sales will begin November 3rd.  The Jamboree committees are working hard, and if weather permits, we will have a bounce house this year.  Since the bake sale was a big hit last year, we will be having one again this year. Congratulations to our October drawing winners, Marisa Grosso – Tracy Kelley O’Neill – Erika Bokol. The Oktoberfest Theme was a big hit with unusual beers to taste and various types of pretzels to enjoy.
