SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENTS

6th Grade: The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Assignment: The students will be tested on the book within the first two weeks of school.  This test will be open-notes, so it is recommended that the student take notes on the plot of the novel while reading.

7th Grade: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

Assignment: The students will be tested on the book within the first two weeks of school.  This test will be open-notes, so it is recommended that the student takes notes on the plot of the novel while reading.

8th Grade: The Call of the Wild by Jack London

Assignment: The students were given a study guide on “Step Up” day.  The answers to the study guide questions are to be typed or handwritten in complete sentences. These are due Friday, August 27th, 2010.  Please note that this novel has been given to the students – keep track of them over the summer, as they are school copies.
