Mathematics League Contest 2008

On an unannounced day in February, each student in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade is presented a copy of forty math questions that pertain to their grade level. For forty minutes, they work as fast and accurately as they can, striving to be in the top five in the class. Occasionally, there is a tie for a position.

The top five from each class go onto the middle school's math wall of fame, where they will remain year after year. Included on the wall are the highest scores ever per grade, from which former students can be bumped. This year’s top five from each class are:

6th Grade:

1st – Daniel Gibbons 2nd – Tia Valdez 3rd – Josh Poppenberg

Tied for 4th   John Beckman, Sarah Jablonski, Sara Irick, Emma Konizeski, Sam Policky
