This year in art class children at St. Louis Catholic School will be exposed to many different aspects of the art experience.  In art class students will experiment with the basic elements and techniques of art.  We will explore famous artists and art history.  Additionally, we will complete projects that incorporate a wide-range of materials.  Students will work with different types of paint-media, clay, and textiles. 

St. Louis students will have art class once a week this year. Mrs. Kaspar will be teaching at St. Louis Monday- Wednesday. The middle school classes will be divided into all girl and all boy classes during the 2009-2010 school year for all Specials.

Grading Policy
Students in grades K-3 will be evaluated on the basis of classroom behavior, effort & participation.

In an effort to make each student more accountable for his or her performance in art class, students in grades 4-8 will be evaluated on each assignment with a rubric specific to that assignment.
