St. Louis is a member of the Catholic Schools Athletic League (CSAL). It is a competitive league comprised of various parochial grade schools within the Denver metropolitan area. For boys, we offer basketball and baseball. For girls, we offer basketball and volleyball. There are three different levels of play for each sport.
- The instructional or Widget teams are for 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls. Playing time for all players is equal. The structure of this level is based on learning. These teams are not part of CSAL but are operated in accordance with the CSAL Code of Conduct.
- Junior Varsity teams are 5th and 6th grade boys and girls. Playing time for junior varsity players is a minimum of one quarter per game. This league starts to become more competitive, and players have a good knowledge of the game and expectations.
- Varsity teams are 7th and 8th grade boys and girls. This is the most competitive level. Players are being prepared for high school leagues. Each player will get playing time in every game.
